About us

The Rural Health Extension Program was developed to address agricultural safety issues on a national level. It includes programs such as CANFARMSAFE and the Agricultural Health and Safety Network.

Our Development:

The Rural Health Extension Program evolved from the the Agricultural Health and Safety Network. The success of the Network demostrated the need for an extension program on a national level.

The Mission Statement:

To improve health and safety on the farm through education, service and evaluation research. The ultimate goal is to reduce injury related and illness related to the farm environment through co-operative efforts with our partners.

The Rural Health Extension Program is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Our office is on the University of Saskatchewan Campus at the Royal University Hospital.
