Knowledge Network
in Rural and Remote Dementia Care
There was consensus among the members of the Decision Maker Advisory Council that an annual face-to-face meeting was important for developing relationships and providing an opportunity for mutual learning. To this end we hold an annual Summit in Saskatoon, which brings together the Decision Maker Advisory Council members, the research team (including co-investigators, research personnel, and students), and other interested stakeholders. We refer to this group as the Knowledge Network in Rural and Remote Dementia Care and we hope that this network will grow along with awareness of the Applied Chair program. In addition to the annual face-to-face meeting, other communication strategies are also being developed based on input from the Advisory Council.
Annual Summit meetings of the Network
To date four Summit meetings have been held in Saskatoon:
The next Summit is planned for November 15th and 16th, 2012.
